Zattoo introduces Product Talk Series

The product talks will focus on recent enhancements of Zattoo’s end-to-end TV-as-a-Service platform.

Sessions will include Zattoo’s Operator Shop and Bridge monitoring tool. Other technologies that Zattoo will present and discuss during the product talks further include operator set-top boxes, the importance of low latency streaming, the rise of Smart TV apps, and Zattoo’s latest customer acquisition in Africa: Telma Madagascar.

Speakers and topics:

Talk 1: Operator set-top boxes Franziska Kleemann (Product Owner Android TV for Operators), Patrick Bee (Product Owner Apple TV for Operators) & Steffen Brauer (Business Development Manager)

As TV consumption continues to migrate towards app-based streaming the demand for Android TV and Apple TV for Operator devices increases. In this product talk Franziska, Patrick and Steffen will talk to attendees about the shift towards app-based TV services.

Talk 2: The importance of low latency streaming Stefan Kaiser (Engineering Manager Video) & Steffen Brauer (Business Development Manager)

Zattoo has recently introduced a low latency feature to target below 10-second video latency across the majority of Zattoo's applications. In this product talk, Stefan and Steffen will talk to attendees about ​​the importance of video latency, especially for live streaming events, and why it is so relevant for operators and service providers.

Talk 3: Smart TV apps Aaron Dey (Product Owner Web TV) & Graeme Leith (Business Development Manager)

Nowadays, the majority of TV consumers use Smart TVs to watch linear TV content. In this talk, Aaron and Graeme will talk to attendees about the rise of Smart TV apps while especially focusing on the HbbTV OpApp as a standard for a virtual set-top box.

Talk 4: Zattoo’s latest customer acquisition in Africa with Telma Madagascar Mirza Besirovic (Innovation Product Manager) & Graeme Leith (Business Development Manager)

Telma Madagascar has selected the Zattoo TV Platform to bring state-of-the-art IPTV & OTT entertainment to Madagascar. In this talk, Mirza and Graeme will share Zattoo’s learnings of launching a TV service fully remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic and within a short period of time.

Talk 5: Operator Shop Ana Mora (Product Owner for the Projects Team) & Steffen Brauer (Business Development Manager)

For Operators, being able to sell digital products on their devices is not only a major revenue driver for their TV offering, but it also helps reduce costs. During this talk, Ana and Steffen will talk about Zattoo’s operator shop and explain how Zattoo has enabled its customer 1&1 to upsell within the user experience of its white label apps.

Talk 6: 'Bridge' monitoring tool Ulrika Hermsdorf (Product Owner Bridge) & Graeme Leith (Business Development Manager)
