By 2026, it is expected that more Pay TV subscribers in Europe will use a form of IP connection as the source for their Pay TV service than that of satellite or cable. IP sourced Pay TV subscribers will rise by over 4 million to an estimated 47 million paying subscribers, whereas satellite and cable are expected to fall by 7 million paying subscribers. If this trend continues, by 2030, Pay TV subscribers using an IP connection will outnumber Pay TV satellite and cable subscribers combined.
