Joyn Switzerland, part of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group, has become the first customer to deploy Zattoo Ingest in full production for the signal processing of 75 selected linear TV channels. The rollout marks a key milestone in an ongoing technology collaboration with Zattoo, a European TV-as-a-Service provider, modernizing a critical layer of Joyn Switzerland's live TV infrastructure.
As demand for live streaming grows, platforms face increasing pressure to scale while maintaining video performance quality. Expanding channel portfolios or modernizing ingest systems has traditionally required complex and costly infrastructure changes.
With Zattoo Ingest, Joyn Switzerland has upgraded its ingest layer without altering its broader platform architecture. The solution manages signal intake and transcoding into adaptive bitrate formats, enabling stable delivery across Joyn's distribution network. Built-in redundancy mechanisms ensure high availability.
